Joseph Price served as a Communications and Computer Systems Officer in the United States Air Force (USAF) for nine years, where he was one of the original members of the 609th Information Warfare Squadron (USAF’s first operational IW squadron) conducting computer network defense on Air Force and Joint networks starting in 1996. He has been active in cyber mission areas since then serving in multiple positions (operator, engineer, test engineer, developer, planner) in both defensive and offensive mission areas.
After his Air Force service, Mr. Price worked in various engineering roles in support of USAF and Joint operational cyber capabilities. In 2009, Mr. Price accepted a civilian position with the Defense Technology Analysis Office, where he was a program manager and engineer for capability development. He served as the Deputy and then Chief of Offensive Cyber Plans for USEUCOM in Stuttgart, Germany.
At Idaho National Laboratory’s National & Homeland Security Directorate, he serves as the Deputy Director for Critical Infrastructure Protection, executing strategy in support of research, development, and deployment of engineered solutions to protect the nation’s critical infrastructure.
